"Enriching the lives of children affected with the
Sickle Cell disease"
This year we did a dinner Dance to Celebrate our 15th Anniversary instead of the usual brunch. This event was well received and took place at Priemiere Banquet Hall, which is located at 9019 Leslie Street, Richmond Hill, Ontario, Canada. www.premdiereballroom.com
The Beverly Mascoll Scholarship Award is a forum to celebrate the lives
of children afflicted with Sickle Cell disease and to present an educational
scholarship to a deserving child who demonstrates courage & wisdom,
according to the Camp Jumoke's criteria.
It is the hope of the organization that these children will
continue to say "Yes We Can!" and not allow the Sickle Cell disease to be an
obstacle to living a full life.
The event was an evening of inspiration, entertainment, good old fashion fun
plus excellent cuisine; that acknowledge the past, present and
future of Camp Jumoke and recognize many of its supporters and friends.
Camp Jumoke is committed to sending
more children to summer camp and to raise awareness for Sickle Cell Disease, despite
the many challenges which exist in charitable fundraising during recessionary times. |
